Dr. Zbozinek’s primary overarching goal is to improve our understanding and treatment of anxiety disorders. This has taken several forms (e.g., economic decision making, COVID-19 anxiety), but most of his work has involved Pavlovian conditioning and its relevance to anxiety disorders using multiple forms of measurement and analysis (self-report, behavioral, physiological, fMRI, computational modeling). Dr. Zbozinek received his PhD in Clinical Psychology from UCLA in 2018 as a graduate of Dr. Michelle Craske’s laboratory. From 2018-2022, he was a postdoctoral researcher at the California Institute of Technology (Caltech) in Dr. Dean Mobbs’s laboratory. Currently, he is in both Dr. Craske’s and Dr. Susan Bookheimer’s laboratories at UCLA as an Assistant Project Scientist.
